On Monday 21 March, 2022, there was a National Water Conference at BICC in Lilongwe. The conference was opened by Hon. John Bande, MP; the Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation. The conference culminated into World Water Day (WWD) commemoration on 22 March, 2022. The theme for this year’s WWD was “Ground Water: Making the Invisible Visible”

The guest of honour at WWD commemoration was Hon. Abida Mia, MP; Minister of Water and Sanitation. Ministery of Water and Sanitation officials , employees from all water boards and other players in the water industry, were present at both functions. You can get more from the
